Media Industry-My Webpage

Media Industry-My Webpage

I wanted my webpage to use colours from my logo, I wanted it to be simplistic and easy to navigate.
My website is laid out in 5 major parts, About, My inspirations, My showreel, portfolio & personal projects.

ABOUT

My About section contains; My Cv and links to past projects (this information is more behind the scenes than the stuff in my portfolio).
It also has a small paragraph about my ethos, why I love media and what type of projects I love to do.

My aim for this page was to give an insight into myself as a person and how my values reflect my work.

MY INSPIRATIONS

This page was again used as a sort of inside look into who I am as a media creator, it gives an ode to my inspirations and who I would like my work to be similar within terms of ethos and aesthetic or style of cinematography.

PORTFOLIO

I broke my portfolio down into 3 parts, a showreel, personal side projects and an outline of all my college projects.
This page was just all my college projects, it has
who the project was for, why i made it and what
equipment i used along with links to the full videos.

my showreel is a 3 minute outline of 3 of my favourite projects from college, my smile campaign, my digital age documentary and my regional identity project.

my personal projects page allowed me to add stuff that i felt fit into media that i had done outside of college, such as my own videos and reviews of films i watched.

Webpage feedback

*this feedback was given before i added my showreel*

From the feedback I can gather that the viewers liked my website, it was all laid out correctly and all the relevant information was there.
However, the viewers thought my webpage wasn't easy to navigate, I had forgotten to add a navigation bar which meant it was not easy to get to other pages without having to reload the whole website.
I edited my website after this and added a navigation bar along with my showreel.
