On 08.10.21, Leo Pearlman (Founder of Fullwell 73) did a talk, at the looking glass, about his company for the Sunderland Business Festival.

Who is Leo Pearlman?

Leo Pearlman is a managing partner for `Fullwell 73', he has produced multiple tv programs and films such as 'The class of 92' (2013)', 'Sunderland till I die (2018)'  and 'Cinderella (2021)'.
His role within Fullwell 73 is to oversee all commercial matters, look at business development and growth targeted strategy.

What is Fullwell 73?

Fullwell 73 is a British television, film and music production company based in London. It was founded in 2005 by brothers Gabe and Ben Turner, Leo Pearlman and Ben Winston; James Corden became the 5th full-time partner in 2017. 
Fullwell 73 operates across a wide range of genres and across all media platforms; theatrical, broadcast and digital.
It now also operates internationally across a range of tv genres, including scripted comedy, factual entertainment, sport and music.

What happened at the event?

Leo Pearlman talked about the new fullwell 73 location in Sunderland
and his hopes for what will happen to the media industry in the North East. He mentioned how once interviews for positions are out the way, they will be opening internships for college students.
Leo then moved on to talk about his work in the media industry and what his role is in Fullwell 73; he also talked about behind the scenes for some productions and how filming in COVID was.
The floor was then opened for questions from the audience.

What did I learn?

I learnt about the opportunities been given to Media people in the North East, however, this will not be very useful to me as I am not planning on staying around the NE to pursue a career.

I also learnt about the green-lighting process for tv and film and how some shows are used purely for analytics.

Overall, the experience was really great and I would be interested in going to more events like this.
