Media Industry-Employment
The media industry encompasses all the businesses that allow information to be shared such as radio, television, newspapers, social media, video games, film and music.
- Traditional media is any form of mass communication that occurred before the introduction of the internet, e.g radio, newspapers, television and billboards.
- Digital media is any media introduced after the internet that uses a computer/electronic device to be spread. It is quite a broad spectrum and encompasses loads of media types such as social media, podcasts, online games, blogs and YouTube.
When leaving college, I would like to make my way towards a job in the media industry either in tv and film or digital media (podcasts, youtube, online articles).
